Sweet Valentine Crafts for Kids

Valentine's day is a day for sweet treats, sweethearts and lots of love. Although this day is generally thought of for couples only, kids can get in on some of the fun with Valentine crafts. Making Valentine's Sweet Smelling Try adding some sweet smells to your kids craft ideas for this Valentine's day. Here's an idea for a heart shaped sachet. 1. Cut out two heart shapes using red or pink cloth, craft foam or even construction paper.
2. Punch several holes along the outer edge of the hearts.
3. Place a dryer sheet in the middle of the two hearts.
4. Now put the two hearts together by threading some ribbon or lace through the hole punch. This simple kids craft idea can make a nice gift for teachers, moms and grandmas or just about anyone who wants to add a little extra sweet smell to their things. They simply put this cute heart shaped gift in an office drawer, dresser drawer or place them around the house. The Sweet Taste of Valentine Treats Another way kids can get in on the sweet fun of Valentine is to make some sweet treats for the whole class or just for the family. Depending on the age of the child, they may need some adult supervision. Try some no bake recipes so the kids can do most of the work on their own. Here's a quick, colorful and tasty treat your kids can make for your romantic dinner dessert. 1. Buy a pound cake, cool whip and chocolate kisses.
2. Slice the pound cake into several pieces.
3. Cut the slices into heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
4. Place a dab of cool whip on top of the heart. For added color, you can use red food coloring in the cool whip.
5. Place a chocolate kiss in the center of the heart. You can also buy some cherry pie filling and pour a little of the heart treat for some added flavor. Having more Valentine Fun with Kids Crafts There are many other ways kids can get in on the fun of Valentines. Have them make their own cards to give to their friends, family members and teachers. Or have them make gifts and roses for moms and dads. So before you run off to your romantic dinner, be sure to spend some Valentine fun with your kids. |
